• SentryII is designed to work with current production Minuteman UPS models.
• To use SentryII, you must connect the UPS to a computer running one of the supported operating systems with the TCP/IP network protocol installed. SentryII will not function without the TCP/IP protocol.
• SentryII features both server and remote client software. However, to run SentryII on a PC, workstation, or server, you only need to download the Server installation file for the appropriate operating system.
• To ensure compatibility, we will only support using SentryII with Microsoft Internet Explorer, Opera, or Netscape Navigator web browsers. However, we do our best to make our software work with any browser and most of them will work with our software.
• The SentryII Remote Client provides unattended shutdown for workstations connected to a central server that must be running SentryII server software.

Windows Install Note: Be sure to extract all of the contents of this ZIP file into a temporary directory such as C:\temp BEFORE running UPSSETUP.EXE to avoid errors during the software installation process.

Note: This USB to RS232 Adapter may be used with any current Minuteman UPS model that features an RS232 port capable of using the Minuteman SentryII Software for Windows.

Install Note: This ZIP file contains a PDF manual and drivers for multiple versions of Windows. There is no SETUP file included. Simply extract the contents of this ZIP file into a temporary directory such as C:\temp and follow the instructions in the included PDF manual.

Get the latest Windows 32-bit and 64-bit USB to RS232 drivers:

• Visit the Prolific Technology PL-2303 Software Download Page for the most recent USB to RS232 driver files.

Note: Before downloading either of these files, please refer to the product documentation for proper installation and usage.

Usage:

1. Make sure the server cables are connected to both the RPM and the server
2. Decompress the RPM1Linux.tar.gz file
3. Run the Setup script
4. Accept the license agreement
5. Select the correct serial port associated with the cable to complete the installation (default port is /dev/tty/S01)
6. Refer to the RPM user's manual for documentation on shutdown setup

Note: Before downloading any of these files, please refer to the product documentation for proper installation and usage. A PDF file is included in each ZIP file with instructions for performing software flash upgrades using either a DB9 serial cable and a terminal application or using the card's TFTP server capability.

Once you download the zipped .INI files you will need to extract them to your program file folder and restart Sentry.
