What is a Stand-by UPS?
A stand-by UPS provides filtering and protection from spikes and surges, while
"standing by" with batteries in the case of a low voltage, high voltage or
blackout condition. If one of these conditions occurs, the inverter automatically switches
to battery mode to condition the power.
