DC Applications

Throughout the Unites States, educational, corporate, and residential users are shifting the technology base of their telephone, network and multimedia requirements to infrastructures that require the support of DC power solutions. MINUTEMAN® UPS, in a leading effort to support these shifts in technology requirements is introducing its first DC UPS product with all the features and support our customers have come to expect from our history of AC-powered UPS products.

Protect Your Investment

The MINUTEMAN ParaShield™ Series offers a cost-effective solution to powering IP Telephony, Fiber-based communication, and other DC-based customer premise equipment (CPE). Within these high-bandwidth networks, ParaShield provides a local backup power solution at a significantly lower cost to the user than traditional CO-based UPS support devices. Locating the DC UPS indoors also dramatically reduces the cost of ownership by extending the lifetime of the hot-swappable batteries over traditional outdoor battery-based solutions.

Emergency Battery Support

As industries adapt to IP-based Telephony and Fiber-based integrated access devices, providing power reliability during short, or extreme, blackout conditions is essential. Communication over these protocols will require power backup for emergency services. Without it users will not have access to emergency services or to any other outside communication until power is restored.

Reliability — Guaranteed

MINUTEMAN® UPS products are backed by an unprecedented 3-year warranty that covers all electronics and 2-year warranty that covers batteries. The MINUTEMAN Platinum Protection Plan® insures properly connected equipment against damages for up to $25,000.
