Does it make any difference what position the 12-7 SLA battery is in?
Would upside-down (the most convenient way for my installation) effect battery life, performance or anything else? |

| The red lead has to go to the red terminal. The black led has to go to the black terminal. |

| What I want to find out is whether the battery can be upside down or sideways - does it matter? |

It only fits one way. The red lead to the red terminal and the black led to
the black terminal. |

Thanks, Steve. But that's not my question. I know about the battery connections.
What I'd like to find out is whether the whole UPS can be in any position - including one in which the battery is upside down or sideways. Does it make any difference to battery life or performance? |

jo-ro,
It should not cause any problems but I would try to install the unit with the battery terminals in the up or sideways position. The battery in the upside down condition could cause a shorter lifespan.
