|
|
I just received a recycled E750 with EP5 with no instructions as how to set it up. I noticed that there appear to be several connection types on the back of the unit. "Env., RJ45, Modem" and then there is a RS232 connection on the lower part. I connected one of my computers to this lower one. I also hooked up a Network cable from the RJ45 to a Gbit Switch. the light on the switch indicates that it is seeing the UPS. The connection to the computer via serial cable is also connected. Problem is when I run the SentryII software, it does not see the UPS via COM port and I am not sure if there is a way to see the unit via the network. So, What am I missing here? Can this unit be communicated with via the network? This is my perferred method. If so, is there an IP that needs to be changed to browes to it? My internal network is 192.168.1...
The serial cables that I have tried are left overs from serial mouse connections. |
