I bought a used Pro 1400 about 6 months ago. The battery appeared to be dead so I ordered a replacement. The unit still has the dead battery indicator on after leaving it plugged in overnight.
This morning I plugged it back in, held the power button for 4 beeps. The unit went to the green charging light and the bad battery indicator went off. Then I heard some sizling, and a slight cracking sound from the battery and smelled a minor amount of sulfur. The battery indicator went back on and I unplugged the unit.
Is there any way to tell if this is just a bad battery or if the unit is shot?
Thanks,
Mark |
