One of my 1500E (out of warranty) units is giving me the battery LED and alarm.
===Battery===
Battery Condition Weak
Battery Status OK
Battery Charge Floating
Run Time Remaining 46 Min
Battery Capacity 100 %
Battery Voltage 41.6 V
Battery Install Date: 05/05/2004
When I power off, unplug it, let it sit for awhile, plug it back in, the battery LED doesnt come back on for many days (about a week).
Checking the three batteries, it appears that maybe one of them is lower than the other (maybe 12.1 v 13.1, cant remember the exact numbers). I didnt check them while the unit was running off of battery power. I disconnected each one and tested individually.
I'm guessing that the three pack can be "broken apart" so one can replace one of the three batteries as needed? |

Batteries last 3-5 years. I would suggest you replace all three or you
will have to repeat this two more times. |

Well, I'm going to take the one at a time approach. Heck, for $40 x 3 I might as well just buy a new UPS.
Interesting thing with this is that since I reported this last, the battery LED hasnt come on again. Right now the status shows:
Battery Condition Good
Battery Status OK
Battery Charge Resting
Run Time Remaining 46 Min
Battery Capacity 100 %
Battery Voltage 37.4 V |
