Which UPS will support unattended Shutdown using the USB port.

Hi Commpdesign-

Let me start by saying that we recommend ONLY using the RS232 cable included with all current model UPS systems and SentryII unattended shutdown & management software as of today. However, if there is not a DB9 serial port available on the machine, there are 2 other options:

Option 1
You can purchase a small USB to serial converter device from a computer store or online retailer and connect it to the RS232 cable included with any of our current model UPS systems (You must use our RS232 cable). We did have a customer inform us that he did this successfully and his UPS now communicates with his PC running SentryII software using USB. While the chances are fair that this solution will work, we cannot recommend it because: A). We are told that it is very slow to communicate. B). We have not tested it here to verify which specific connectors work properly.

Option 2
Within a couple of months, we will have a fast RS232 to USB converter cable that will communicate with all current model UPS systems running SentryII software with the same speed and functionality as the current RS232 cable. If you can wait, then this solution would be the better one.

Всем Привет! Уважаемые просьба помогите мне, у меня есть 2 человека которые должны мне денег, они упорно скрываються. Телефоны мои с которых я звоню не берут и всячески пытаються увельнуть от ответственности и чувства долга. Я им помог когда они нуждались во мне.
