I have a couple of questions regarding the Parashield 1224.
Is the output voltage regulated separately from the battery charging voltage? (i.e. 12VDC +/- 0.1V on the output vs. 13.6VDC on the battery terminal, for example).
What types of external batteries can be added to the 1224 (AGM, Gel-cell, etc.) and what is the Ah limit of external cells? How about external fusing requirements? (Just trying to cover all the bases).
When the Parashield 1224 switches over to battery power, does it provide regulated power output (i.e. 12VDC +/- 0.1V) or does it provide passed-through battery voltage (i.e. from 12.6 to 10VDC)?
Does the Parashield 1224 have a buzzer that is activated (continuously or intermittently) whenever the Parashield is on battery power? |

Hello Constantin-
Answers are listed below:

1) Is the output voltage regulated separately from the battery charging voltage? (i.e. 12VDC +/- 0.1V on the output vs. 13.6VDC on the battery terminal, for example).
>> No. Same as battery voltage.
2) What types of external batteries can be added to the 1224 (AGM, Gel-cell, etc.) and what is the Ah limit of external cells? How about external fusing requirements? (Just trying to cover all the bases).
>> Lead Acid Gel-cell. There is no limit on Amphours added. No need for external fusing, the fusing is internal.
3) When the Parashield 1224 switches over to battery power, does it provide regulated power output (i.e. 12VDC +/- 0.1V) or does it provide passed-through battery voltage (i.e. from 12.6 to 10VDC)?
>> Pass-through battery voltage.
4) Does the Parashield 1224 have a buzzer that is activated (continuously or intermittently) whenever the Parashield is on battery power?
>> Yes, an intermittent buzzer can be enabled for whenever the unit is in battery power mode. It is turned off by default. See manual:
