That's the overload light. Any idea how many watts your Mac is pulling and is there anything else connected to the S 700 other than the Mac?
The S 700 is rated at 500 watts maximum. See page 5 of the SmartSine PDF manual for all the indicators:

Just to test things, shut everything down (UPS, Mac, anything else connected to UPS) then power the UPS back up with no load. If the Overload indicator light comes on again with no load, then there may be a problem with unit. If not, then hook up one device with a smaller load (such as a monitor, AC adapter, etc.), power on the UPS and the load, and try it again. If the UPS works without the fault, then you know that the original load is too much for that unit. You would need a larger VA/watt UPS in that case.
