|

Hi guys/ladies,
I'm new to this site and use it often for puchasing Minuteman UPS's. I am in the phone industry and often try to figure out what UPS to purchase to provide a certain amount of back up time based on the information that I get from the manufacturer. I usually get this:
Max Equipped Current Draw (Amps) = 1.3
Max Equipped Thermal Load (BTU's) = 489
OR
12 Watts
how can I use this infomation here for let's say a 1 hour UPS
on the Minuteman UPS Sizing Guide page
and is this the "rated" or "measured" when I enter in the information, what's the difference??
thanks a ton for any help you can render.

tino19625,
Thank you for the topic. Good Question.
Okay, now the rated load means you are reading right off the tag on the back of the equipment.
The measured load means that you are reading a measurement right from the electric panel or (Circuit Breaker) with a amp meter.
What you have on this post is a 1.3 rated load.
ETR700 will give you a 1 hour run time.
The BTU rating in the AC mode full 700 VA is 119 BTU.
The BTU rating in the DC mode (battery Back up) full 420 watts 358 BTU.
Please call me I can go through the http://www.sizemyups.com
