MINUTEMAN® UPS INTRODUCES AN AFFORDABLE ON-LINE UPS SOLUTION

New CPE Products Offer Quality Performance and Superior Pricing

Carrollton, Texas - March 31, 2006 - MINUTEMAN® UPS is pleased to announce the release of a new and affordable series of online UPS products. The MINUTEMAN® CPE™ Series combines the maximum protection of true double-conversion, on-line technology at prices reflective of less expensive line-interactive products.

The CPE Series ranges from 1000VA to 3000VA in both rackmount and tower formats. All models are capable of adding external battery packs for virtually unlimited runtime. Management of output power to connected equipment is provided through the included auto-shutdown software when connected serially through the standard DB9 port. In addition, the CPE Series is SNMP compatible using the optional NetAgent SNMP card. Backing up the quality features and performance of the CPE Series is the exclusive, MINUTEMAN® UPS standard three-year warranty at no additional charge. This industry-leading warranty covers parts and labor on all electronics and internal batteries. Added to the warranty is the $40,000 MINUTEMAN Platinum Protection Plan® which covers properly connected equipment against electronic damage while using CPE products.

"By introducing a double-conversion technology UPS line at an affordable price, MINUTEMAN® UPS enables cost-conscious buyers the ability to fully protect even the most sophisticated and sensitive equipment", stated Kevin Canole, Product Manager for MINUTEMAN UPS®. "Using double-conversion technology supplies the cleanest, most stable AC power signal available in UPS technology with absolutely no break in power when a blackout occurs." Rick Hunteman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at MINUTEMAN® UPS added, "With superior input power tolerance and new aggressive price levels, the CPE Series is a perfect solution for environments that require battery power while generators are brought online during extended blackouts."

Full specifications for the new models are available on the web at www.minutemanups.com. Suggested retail prices for the CPE Series range from $449.00 for 1000VA models to $1,349.00 for the 3000VA rackmount model.

Customer Quotes

After many years of recommending UPS systems to Comm / Ind customers I didn't install one on my own computer until I lost about 20 files. Won't be without one again and the MINUTEMAN is compact and only needs to be plugged in. Thanks.
